Churches
There are three churches within Cronton Village.
Holy Family RC Church
Holy Family RC Church is situated on Hall Lane and is a building of over 100 years old. The Church was funded and built by the Stapleton-Bretherton family of Rainhill. It is dedicated to the memory of Frederick Stapleton-Bretherton, his wife the Honourable Isabella Stapleton-Bretherton and two of their children, Mary Stapleton-Bretherton (Sister of Charity) and 2nd Lieutenant Robert Charles Lucius Stapleton-Bretherton who died in the South African War. The two children are commemorated in two stained glass windows in the south transept.
The Church was opened on 15th August, 1910. It was built using sandstone sourced from Mr Stapleton-Bretherton’s quarry in Rainhill. The architect was Mr Gilbertson of Liverpool and the builder was Mr Mercer of Widnes.
Threatened with closure recently, it was agreed for the Church to become part of the Whiston Parish which means that the Church remains open.

Cronton Methodist Chapel
Cronton Methodist Chapel is situated on Chapel Lane. It was founded before 1849.

Cronton CE Mission Church
Cronton Mission (CE) is part of the Parish of St Lukes, Farnworth. Cronton Mission has representation at St Lukes PCC, along with St Ambrose Church, form the East Widnes Team.
The Team Rector is Rev'd Bob Pearson and licensed lay reader is Lesley Firth.

Services: Worship takes place weekly on Sunday at 10.30am at Cronton CE School and is a combination of traditional Anglican with less formal, fresh expressions.
